Eyes Hearts Hands launches the Community of Cities to lead Europe's sustainable future
A Community of Cities has been launched as part of the EU-funded Eyes, Hearts, Hands Urban Revolution project. This innovative network unites cities across Europe to integrate the values of the New European Bauhaus—sustainability, inclusion, and beauty—into their urban planning and development.
The Community of Cities will bring together over 50 cities, encouraging municipalities to collaborate on strategies for climate neutrality, social engagement and innovative financing. This network serves as a dynamic platform for sharing best practices, tackling common challenges and strengthening cross-European partnerships.
As part of this initiative, city representatives will participate in four online meetings where tools, guidelines and policy recommendations will be introduced to help cities achieve their decarbonisation and energy goals. The sessions will also include discussions on overcoming local challenges.
By joining this community, cities will not only contribute to the New European Bauhaus and European Green Deal initiatives but will also benefit from the chance to form new networks, share knowledge and develop the practical skills essential for Europe's journey to climate neutrality.
